Large oil painting on canvas in original simulated frame. Possibly by Gideon Yates.Cleaned and re lined.
Verso written :'From Hatlex house, Hest Bank netting on the Loon'. The 'netting' of salmon was carried out at the 'mouth end' of the Lune towards Sunderland point. (see map 1786)
