Mumtaz MahaL.  In Victorian Art during the Victorian era, the story of Mumtaz Mahal and the Taj Mahal captured the imagination of many in the West. The romantic and tragic narrative of her life, coupled with the grandeur of the Taj Mahal, made for a compelling subject in Victorian art.

 

Mumtaz Mahal was the empress consort of the Mughal Empire from 1628 to 1631 as the chief consort of the fifth Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan. The Taj Mahal in Agra. The TAJ MAHAL was built by her husband in her memory.
